Churchill House Main and Intensive courses are designed for hard working students who want maximum benefit from a general English course. In addition to class work you are expected to do at least one hour of homework each night.

Main Courses

Main Courses are 15 hours per week in multinational classes with a maximum of 14 /average 11 students per class. The courses follow a syllabus which is primarily designed to develop the four skills of speaking, writing, reading and listening, and to increase your awareness of how English works. You also learn and revise new vocabulary.

Intensive Courses

Intensive Courses are either 20 or 25 hours per week and include either 5 or 10 hours per week of Elective courses. Students taking an Intensive 20 Course choose 1 elective and students taking Intensive 25 choose 2 electives. A range of elective courses appropriate to each level is offered each month and could include:

• Skills development
• English for Business
• English + Computing
• IELTS
• The TOEFL ® test
• The TOEIC ® test
• Cambridge PET, BEC

NB Beginners must follow a 25 hour per week Intensive course including a General English Elective of 10 hours a week for at least the first month of their course.
