  Crash courses
Crash courses
consist of 40 lessons per week (30 hours) in classes of maximum 5 students, average 4. These Courses offer the ideal way to learn the maximum amount of English in the shortest possible time at the most effective price.

All-inclusive prices
In addition to the Course the price includes the Enrolment Fee, half-board family accommodation in a single room with a carefully selected host family, loan of course books, membership of our Social Club, plus a free day trip at the weekend. Full-board accommodation with lunches in the School's Clubroom restaurant is available at a supplement of £15.00 per week.

Teaching
Each Crash Course is taught by a team of 3 experienced teachers. As necessary we may also bring in various experts in particular specialist fields. The programme is monitored and controlled by Stephen Yates, the Director of Studies.

On enrolment all customers are sent a Client Needs Analysis to be completed and returned to us. We use this information to ensure that wherever possible the Course will cover the specific needs of each customer.

Classroom
Crash Courses are held in a specially resourced classroom. There is a coffee machine and mineral water on hand and two newspapers, The Times and Financial Times, are provided daily.

Certification
At the end of the Course every customer receives a Certificate of Attendance with a detailed report on their work during the Course and level of attainment. In addition advice is given on what, in our opinion, is the next stage necessary to further improve their level of English.

Course programme
Accommodation is booked from the Sunday although it is possible to arrive on the Saturday. Reception formalities are completed at the School on Monday morning when customers meet the Crash Course Director. They are then introduced to their morning class teacher and receive a personal folder containing a detailed Course Programme plus other useful general information.

There are 3 classes a day, Monday to Friday. The morning class is 3 hours teaching with a 20 minute break mid-morning. There are two classes in the afternoon each of 1 hour and 30 minutes with a 20 minute break between them.

On the afternoon of the first Wednesday the class has a quality control session with Stephen Yates, the Director of Studies, to discuss all aspects of their Course. In addition on the first Thursday there is a short class opinion questionnaire. On the second Tuesday of the Course the class are invited to have lunch with two senior Churchill House staff members in the School's Country Kitchen Restaurant.

Social programme
Customers on our Crash Courses are members of our Social Club and are issued with privileged Silver Membership Cards. This entitles them to free entry not only to all the members-only social activities held at Churchill's, the School's own Clubroom, but also free entry to Churchill's Wednesday Jazz Club and Sunday Folk and Blues Club. In addition to the other students at the School there are over 600 elected English members of our Social Club.

During the break between lessons on the first Monday afternoon James Greene, our Social Club manager, will join the class to talk about the Social Club activities taking place during the Course plus any additional special activities for the class.

On the middle Saturday of the Course customers have a free full-day Social Club trip.

In addition to providing advice about sports facilities in Ramsgate the Social Club can arrange for golf-playing students to play at one of the nearby local courses.
