Churchill House Main and Intensive courses are designed for hard working students who want maximum benefit from a general English course. We have short courses of 2, 3 and 4 weeks, and longer courses from 6 to 50 weeks. All courses have starting dates at the beginning of most months.

To ensure your rapid progress, there is a maximum of 14 students in each main class- 12 in intensive classes - and in all classes there is always a mix of nationalities. In addition to the classwork detailed below you are expected to do at least one hour of homework per night.

Prices
If you compare our prices with those of other schools you will see that we offer excellent value for money. Our 11 to 16 week Special Courses are an extra bargain.

Main Courses
Main Courses are 20 lessons per week (15 hours). The courses follow a syllabus which is primarily designed to develop the four skills of speaking, writing, reading and listening, and to increase your awareness of how English works. You also learn and revise new vocabulary.

Intensive Courses
Intensive Courses are 33 lessons per week (25 hours). Lessons are held on 5 mornings and 4 afternoons per week - no lessons on Wednesday afternoons. During the morning, Intensive Courses follow the same well-designed syllabus as the Main Courses, however you can learn English even more quickly as you study and practice in greater detail speaking, listening, reading, writing and vocabulary development using special supplementary materials.
