The Lead Up Courses are specially designed to improve your English to the level required to join the main Cambridge examination courses. Before you come to Churchill House we will send you an English test which you do at home and return to us. Based on the results of this test we advise you whether you will need a 4 week or 8/9 week Lead Up Course, or whether you are able to start the normal examination course.
Your Lead Up Class
In your morning class you study general English language skills at the module level which is appropriate for you. It is important to strengthen your communication in English in all areas.
Your afternoon class is for Lead Up students only and focuses on study skills, writing skills and language awareness in order to bring you up to the level necessary for the main examination course.
Your course consists of 33 lessons per week (25 hours total teaching time). There is a maximum of 14 students per class.
