The TOEFL ® test - THE TEST OF ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Churchill House is running 4 Week TOEFL ® test Examination Courses starting on:

2 January, 3 March, 29 April, 1 July, 2 September, 28 October, 25 November

The course consists of 15 hours of General English + 10 hours of TOEFL ® test preparation (including test paper practice).

The cost of the 4 week course is £930 (inclusive of enrolment fee, half board accommodation, Social Club membership and access to the Individual Learning Centre). Examination books cost an additional £15.

If you wish to sit the examination whilst in Ramsgate, the test fee in £70 (including the provision of a Score Report). Therefore the total cost of taking the course and examination is £1015.

Churchill House will help students to apply for the examination, which can be taken locally or in their home country.

The TOEFL ® test

• evaluates general English proficiency
• is required for admission to over 2400 American and Canadian colleges and universities
• is also accepted by institutions in other countries where English is the language of instruction, including most UK universities and colleges
• is offered as either a computer-based or paper-based test
• was taken by over 930,000 people worldwide in 1997-98
• provides official score reports which are available after two weeks
• can send up to four Score Reports directly to designated institutions
