  Work experience programme
When you arrive in Ramsgate
On your first day at Churchill House you have an interview with your Course Director to check your level of English and make sure that the class we have reserved is the most beneficial for you.

During the first week of the course you have an interview with one of our Work Placement counsellors to discuss in more detail your exact requirements. Then, after discussion with a number of prospective organisations, a final selection of workplace is made, carefully chosen to best meet your professional needs.

We make every effort to match you with an appropriate organisation and in nearly all cases we are successful. In any case where we just cannot make a good match we make a full refund of all the Work Placement Fees you have paid.

Your English course
The English Course in your Work Experience Programme must be full time (30 lessons per week or more) and last at least 4 weeks. You can choose between an Intensive Course (maybe with a special Business Option) of 4 to 50 weeks duration, a University of Cambridge Examination Course or a London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Examination Course.

Good progress during your English Course is essential to the Programme. You must reach Churchill House Module 7 (good Intermediate) level and if this is not attained it may delay the start of your Work Placement. To help monitor progress your teachers have frequent meetings with your Course Director and you have regular tests so we can ensure that you are always in the best class and obtain maximum benefit from the course.

Towards the end of the language course you are usually asked to attend an interview at the workplace that has been selected for you. This is a formal interview: it ensures that you and the organisation are properly matched and that both parties will benefit from the placement.
