How to get to Ramsgate if you are arriving at Heathrow Airport

A:  Heathrow Express to Central London then train from Charing Cross to Ramsgate

Follow the signs for the Heathrow Express train station inside the Air Terminal.  Purchase the ticket for the whole journey single (or return) Heathrow/Ramsgate - cost around £52 single. Trains leaves every 15 minutes for London's Paddington Station.  At Paddington follow the signs for the Underground and take the Bakerloo line southbound from Platform 4 direct to Charing Cross.  From Charing Cross take the Ramsgate train.  Total journey time 3 hours 30 minutes.

B: Underground to Central London then train or coach/bus from Victoria to Ramsgate

Follow the "Underground" signs to the Underground Station inside the Air Terminal. Buy a single ticket to Victoria Station - fare approx. £5. Take the Piccadilly Line (purple on the Underground map) in the direction of Central London. Get off at Hammersmith Station (after 10 stations). Go to the other side of the same platform and take the District Line (green on the Underground map) to Victoria. Journey time: approx. 1 hr.

At Victoria Station take the train or a coach/bus to Ramsgate:

Train to Ramsgate: 

You can buy a ticket inside the station. Ramsgate trains are usually found on Platforms 1 to 8 and depart every hour journey time: approx. 1 hr 50 mins. Single train fare London-Ramsgate: approx. £27.

Alternatively, follow the signs in the railway station and walk to Victoria coach station just across the road:

Coach to Ramsgate: 

National Express coaches leave Victoria Coach Station for Ramsgate every day at the following times: 10.30, 13.30, 16.30, 18.00, 20.30, also Sunday at 21.30. Journey time: approx. 2 hours 40/50 minutes (service is not direct) and cost around £5 - 10.
