The Summer Language Programme

The English courses at Churchill House are designed to be stimulating and varied. In the summer every student receives 15 hours * of lessons each week from dedicated and imaginative teachers. Each day the course is split into three lessons of one hour each, in which the teaching staff use a variety of modern teaching techniques to ensure that each student is able to develop their fluency and confidence.

All the students undertake a written and oral test on arrival and are placed in multinational classes with students of a similar age and level. In addition to the comprehensive summer school syllabus developed by Churchill House, the teaching staff draw on their own experience and creativity to deliver classes that engage the students and maximise their potential.

At each Summer Centre there is Director of Studies who is responsible for coordinating the English Programme.  At the larger centres they are supported by an Assistant Director of Studies as well as by the Academic Management Team based at the Churchill House Head office in Ramsgate.

* intensive courses of 20 and 25 hours are possible in Ramsgate
