All our academic staff have been chosen for their qualifications, experience and motivation. Their enthusiasm and commitment ensure that students are helped to make maximum progress. They are also very kind, sympathetic and are always ready to give help and advice when needed.
Our Director of Studies, Anne Cave, has over 35 years’ experience in teaching and has been with Churchill House for over 20 years. She is responsible for the smooth running of the Teaching Department and maintaining the high quality of teaching.
Assisted by Senior Teacher, Nick Care, Anne oversees our systems of assessment and monitoring to ensure that a close and personal interest is continually taken in our students and the progress that they make. Anne is responsible for monitoring the welfare of young adults in the main school. Nick is the elective course director and advisor for further education in the UK. He also has special responsibility for the progress and welfare of our Arabic speaking students.
Our current roster of permanent teachers (as of November 2016) is as follows:
- Andrew Nolan
- Danny Norris
- Janie Cook
- Jerome Tovey
- John Westbrook
- Shiralee Matthews
- Stuart Taylor
In peak months, we also employ extra teachers on a seasonal or part-time basis. Each of these teachers will be carefully selected by our academic management team to ensure that they meet the standards we expect of a Churchill House teacher.
