How to get to Ramsgate if you are arriving at Gatwick Airport

You can take one of the non-stop Gatwick Express trains that leave every 15 minutes from the Air Terminal for Victoria railway station in Central London - cost around £15 and journey time 30 minutes or one of the Southern Rail trains (recommended) into Victoria cost around £11 and journey time 30/36 minutes.

Once at Victoria you can take either the train or coach/bus to Ramsgate.  If you decide on the train you should purchase your ticket for the whole journey at the airport - total rail fare Gatwick to Ramsgate £39 and journey time approxiamately 2 hours 40 minutes.  The cost of the National Express coach/bus from Victoria to Ramsgate is £13/14 and journey time 2 hours 40 minutes (this service is not direct).

OR, take the train via Redhill and Tonbridge, the Gatwick Rail Link trains leave hourly during certain periods of the day for Redhill and Tonbridge, the journey takes approxiamately 45 minutes.  Redhill is just 7 minutes from Gatwick and here you change trains for Tonbridge and at Tonbridge you change for Ramsgate, this journey takes approxiamately 1 hour 20 minutes.  Total cost for whole journey £24/27.
