Aldenham School was founded more than 400 years ago and stands on its own original site in more than 110 acres of glorious Hertfordshire countryside to the north west of London. Queen Elizabeth 1 gave permission for the school to be built and the Foundation Stone was laid in 1597! At this school ‘old tradition’ is mixed with the best modern facilities. There is easy access to all London’s major airports, to the motorway network and to central London itself. ACCOMMODATIONSeparate accommodation is provided for girls and boys with single, twin and multi-bedded rooms. All of the accommodation houses are centrally located around the school. Laundry is carried out for the students in the houses by the housekeepers. FOODAll meals are served in the impressive ‘olde worlde’ dining room with the old headmasters looking down on the students from the walls. There is a wide choice of fresh food providing the necessary well balanced diet for the students – all requirements can be accommodated. THE LOCATIONSuperbly located for London and its airports. The Thameslink rail service operates from nearby Radlett station (5 minute drive) to St Pancras. Trains run every 20 minutes and the journey time is 20-25 minutes. Aldenham School post code: WD6 3AJ AND MOREFor groups – in addition to the programmed excursions into central London our centre manager will arrange additional excursions as requested. For group leaders - the picturesque village of Letchmore Heath is only a short stroll from the school with its beautiful houses, pub and duck pond!
