You will arrive at the school on the Sunday before your course begins and Birgit Wilson is one of the first people you may meet in reception- you will receive a very warm welcome and Birgit will sort our your payments and pocket money, ask you for your next-of-kin details and check that you have met your host family and have settled in. She will then make sure that someone takes you to each department in turn so you will receive all the information you need in order to start lessons the next day fully prepared.

“I was a little nervous about going to the school on a Sunday but my host family showed me the way- it was very close and there was someone to greet me at the door and show me what to do and where to go.

After check-in at reception I was taken to meet a Course Director for my interview and to get my timetable and a plan of the school for the following day so I could find my classrooms easily.

Next an assistant took me to the Social Club where I got my Social Club Membership Card and booked a place for the trip to “The sound of music” in London next month!

After that I saw the bookshop and received my books for class the next day. It was all very quick and easy and I was back with my host family in time for dinner.

I went straight to lessons the next day and started to learn English immediately!”
