At Churchill House learning does not stop when you leave the classroom - there is always something happening in the Clubroom so you can practise your English with your fellow students and your teachers every night of the week. Our Social Club staff will let you know what the monthly programme is when you arrive and help organise any special activity or sport you would like to do. Why not have a game of tennis on the courts in front of the school, join our football team or try an aerobics class? Test your vocal skills on Karaoke night, dance the night away at our regular Friday disco or even meet that special person on “Blind date”?! You can explore many of Britain’s loveliest places by taking our day or weekend trips - London, Cambridge, Oxford, Bath, Stonehenge and Windsor - all feature in our programme regularly. Our 3 or 4 day trips to Scotland are wonderful value and should not be missed. If you want to see more of Europe, book a place on our weekend trips to Paris, Amsterdam or Bruges- all very close to Ramsgate via the Channel Tunnel (by Eurostar or ferry). In summer our juniors (12-15) and young adults (16-17) have a great time with a special Weekly Activity Programme designed for their age group. This involves them in many different sports, excursions and activities throughout the day and evening- a really good combination if you want to study but also make sure you have a holiday at the same time! “I have visited many places since I arrived in Ramsgate- Brighton, London, and Cambridge. It’s easy to book and we are always given interesting information about each place we see- there is also a teacher with us who knows about the area. I am going to Scotland in April and they say there will still be snow in the Highlands so I’m looking forward to that as I have never seen snow before!” “I didn’t know anyone when I first arrived but after spending time in the Clubroom, for instance at the disco, karaoke and international party nights, I have made many friends from all over the world - not just my classmates. I think I will always remember time spent at Churchill House as the best days of my life”.
