The Social Club

The Social Club provides the 'learning through leisure' programme that is available to all students and much, much more.  The Social Club manager and his team are there to make your programme as successful and rewarding as possible. With the social club you can make friends and practice your English with students from other countries.

The Clubroom

As a student at Churchill House your course fees include membership of The Clubroom.  Don't forget to send us a passport sized photo of yourself before you come, or bring it with you, since you will receive your membership card on the day you arrive.

The Clubroom has a bar, restaurant, dance floor and games area and there is something to enjoy on most evenings including cabarets, karaoke, quiz nights, international party nights, salsa dance classes, DVD nights and the famous Thursday club dance night.

Day and Weekend Trips

A wide selection of day and weekend trips are offered regularly throughout the year.  Day trips include London, Oxford, Cambridge, Windsor, Bath & Stonehenge.  Weekend trips include visits to London and Edinburgh.

Multi-day Tours

These include our famous tours of Scotland, Belgium & Holland and different tours of England and Wales.

Your own itinerary

The Social Club can help you to make your own travel and tour arrangements - by car or train - hostel or hotel.

Sports

Ramsgate and its surrounding area can offer swimming, sailing, fishing, golf, athletics, martial arts, horse riding and much more.  The Social Club can arrange everthing for you.  The school's own sports sessions include football, dance classes, volleyball, basketball and there are three tennis courts in front of the school!

The Churchill Tavern

The most traditional pub in Ramsgate, serving traditional British beer and food, is owned by the school and is situated above the Clubroom in the school's Paragon building.  Here students can mix with fellow students and local people whilst enjoying a drink, a meal or one of the frequent live musical evenings.
