How We Teach
We aim to teach you as much useful English as possible in an enjoyable and professional manner. We will encourage you to develop learning skills that will help you continue learning long after you leave us.
Teaching is in small groups so students have a more personal learning experience and teachers can spend more time with each student, working on their skills and building their confidence.
Lessons are communicative so students are encouraged to take an active part in the class whilst following a structured learning programme constantly progressing towards their goals. We use modern teaching methods, carefully chosen course books, authentic materials with multi-media resources delivered on interactive whiteboards. Students also have access to facilities such as the computer room with additional independent learning resources (Rosetta Stone software) so can practise as much as they like.
How We Help You Achieve Your Goals
- Before you come to England you can take our online level test so we know where you might need help
- When you arrive at the school we give you a personal interview with one of our academic team to get a better understanding of your skills and needs to choose the best class for your ability
- We will give you a written schedule of the syllabus you will study in each module and suggest additional elective classes to help you with specific areas you need to work on e.g. exam preparation, writing
- We continually monitor and advise you on your progress throughout your stay via written progress reports and individual progress tutorial meetings with your teacher
- Encourage you to join in with other students on our social programme
